SILVER

Silver

Silver is a chemical element with symbol Ag (from the Latin argentum, derived from the Proto-Indo-European h₂erǵ: "shiny" or "white") and atomic number 47. A soft, white, lustrous transition metal, it exhibits the highest electrical conductivitythermal conductivity, and reflectivity of any metal. The metal is found in the Earth's crust in the pure, free elemental form ("native silver"), as an alloy with gold and other metals, and in minerals such as argentite and chlorargyrite. Most silver is produced as a byproduct of copper, gold, lead, and zinc refining.
Silver has long been valued as a precious metal. Silver metal is used in many bullion coins, sometimes alongside gold:[4] while it is more abundant than gold, it is much less abundant as a native metal.[5] Its purity is typically measured on a per-mille basis; a 94%-pure alloy is described as "0.940 fine". As one of the seven metals of antiquity, silver has had an enduring role in most human cultures.
Other than in currency and as an investment medium (coins and bullion),[6] silver is used in solar panelswater filtrationjewellery, ornaments, high-value tableware and utensils (hence the term silverware), in electrical contacts and conductors, in specialized mirrors, window coatings, in catalysis of chemical reactions, as a colorant in stained glassand in specialised confectionery. Its compounds are used in photographic and X-ray film. Dilute solutions of silver nitrate and other silver compounds are used as disinfectants and microbiocides (oligodynamic effect), added to bandages and wound-dressings, catheters, and other medical instruments.

What Donald Trump wrote about

A guy named Arthur Drexler, from the Museum of Modern Art, put it very well when he said, “Skyscrapers are machines for making money.” Drexler meant it as a criticism. I saw it as an incentive.
— The Art of the Deal, 1987

You ask a baker how he makes bread. You ask a billionaire how he makes money.
— How to Get Rich, 2004

When you have a lot of money, it can cause misery. But I’d rather have that kind of misery than the misery without it. Money may not grow from trees, but it does grow from talent, hard work, and brains. I have a talent for making money; some people don’t. But part of my “talent” is my drive and my work ethic, so even if you don’t have the genetic makeup to be a billionaire, you can still work hard and maybe, if you’re lucky and smart, you can be a millionaire.
— Think Like a Billionaire, 2004

Money was never a big motivation for me, except as a way to keep score. The real excitement is playing the game.
— The Art of the Deal, 1987

When somebody hurts you, just go after them as viciously and as violently as you can. Like it says in the Bible, an eye for an eye. Be paranoid. I know this observation doesn’t make any of us sound very good, but let’s face the fact that it’s possible that even your best friend wants to steal your spouse and your money.
